Murray A. Freedman, MS, MD
Physician, Educator and Author
Dr. Murray Freedman is a nationally renowned women’s health expert, physician, educator and author, based in Augusta, Georgia. He is a Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical College of Georgia, and is an active OB/GYN in private practice.
Dr. Freedman has published three books, including his most recent, Peanut Butter and Jelly: Great Sex is as Easy as Making a PBJ Sandwich, which addresses intimacy and sexuality in an approachable and informative manner. He has published more than 25 articles in national and international medical journals and authored three chapters in medical textbooks.
Dr. Freedman received his medical training at the Medical College of Georgia. He is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is past-president of the Georgia State OB/GYN Society, and of the South Atlantic Association of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He currently is a member of the advisory board of the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology for the subspecialty of Psychosexual Medicine.
In 2008, he received the NAMS (North American Menopause Society) NovoNordisk Award for Vaginal Health Research. For more than 15 years, Dr. Freedman has been investigating, writing and educating others about hormones, sexuality and relationship issues in postmenopausal women.

Lisa Larkin, MD, FACP, NCMP, IF
Women’s Health Internist
Dr. Lisa Larkin is a board-certified internist practicing internal medicine and women’s health since 1991. She is owner and President of Lisa Larkin, MD, and Associates, an independent, multispecialty practice offering Direct Primary Care, Concierge primary care and women’s health in Cincinnati, Ohio. She also currently serves as Director of Women’s Corporate Health for TriHealth, and she is the Founder and Executive Director of the Cincinnati Sexual Health Consortium, a non-profit designed to improve the sexual health and wellness of individuals in the Greater Cincinnati region through improved clinician collaboration and community outreach.
She is a 1988 AOA graduate of Yale University School of Medicine, and she completed her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Chicago in 1991. She is Fellow of the American College of Physicians, is certified as a menopause clinician by the North American Menopause Society (NAMS), and is a Fellow of the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH). Dr. Larkin also currently serves on the Board of Directors of ISSWSH.
A breast cancer survivor herself, Dr. Larkin’s passion is women’s health, particularly menopause management, female sexual health, cancer survivorship, breast cancer risk assessment and prevention, and women and cardiovascular disease. She is a tireless advocate for her patients and in the community, frequently lecturing on women’s health topics, writing articles for community publications, and appearing on local news outlets to discuss women’s health issues.

About Catherine Geering
Catherine Geering, CNP, was a nurse practitioner, a tireless advocate for women, colleague and dear friend who passed away after her battle with leukemia in 2015. She was a passionate advocate for women’s health especially sexual health and women’s mid-life health issues. Together with Lisa Larkin, MD, Catherine launched the sexual health clinic within the UC Health Women’s Center with the goal of raising the standard of care of women in this area of unmet medical need. She was a warm, compassionate, dedicated and skilled clinician who made a huge impact on everyone she cared for. The Catherine Geering Annual Community Sexual Health lecture is to honor this wonderful woman’s memory, professional efforts, and the contributions she made in our community.
